What is the best insulation?

Choosing the right insulation depends on several factors — budget, desired efficiency, and the building’s structure. Each insulation type has its advantages and ideal applications, but generally we recommend spray foam as the top choice when budget allows, with fiberglass and cellulose as strong, more cost-conscious alternatives.

How much insulation do I need?

We consult local municipal codes to ensure our recommendations meet or exceed minimum requirements — and exceeding the code is always beneficial.

Can I insulate my existing walls?

We no longer provide the “drill & fill” service, which involved drilling holes in drywall and injecting insulation into the wall cavity. This method carries risks such as overfilling, which can push out the drywall, and the potential to accidentally drill into electrical wiring or plumbing. If a contractor proposes this approach, proceed with caution.

Do you sell insulation material only?

Insulation Solutions of TN offers free estimates on installed material - in other words, it’s free to see how we can help you.

Do you remove insulation?

Occasionally insulation must be removed because it’s damaged, wet, or contaminated with mold. We provide professional insulation removal services.

Do you insulate old homes?

Yes — we can. We usually add more attic insulation and can also insulate crawlspaces. We work on older homes and new construction as well.
